I can't believe how close Christmas is. I'm not looking forward to it, except for giving Devan presents. I know what Jon is getting me already... and I have a sneaking suspicion about something else...
It is Thursday night. I am the only one up. It's just me and the christmas tree. I was planning on making myself some hot cocoa and reading a little, but I may be tired... But reading is fun and so is drinking cocoa so I might do it anyways!
I changed my mind about the outfit I'm going to wear to Jon's Christmas party. Instead of the white blouse/black trousers thing, I am wearing a dark purple, green, and black skirt with black tights, a black turtleneck and loafers. It looks pretty nice so who cares? I have to take back my other stuff to the store. I want to get a pair of jeans and maybe a nice sweater or something. We'll see I guess.
I got Jon some great christmas presents that I am really excited about. We have to shop for Devan soon! We haven't even begun.
This
is my virtual model. Her name is Peggy Sue. She is wearing the outfit I bought
earlier today (well actually saturday, since it is well into Sunday). It snowed
a lot today. That sucks. I wasn't expecting it at all. I had a fun day pretty
much but now I am having trouble sleeping mostly because I am in a bad mood. Oh
well.
HI DIARY! I am going to the mall soon. I made the wendy's chili (located on the recipe page) and it was really good. There's so much of it though, i'll have to freeze it.
I should be washing dev's bedding. the freaking cat pooped and i think peed in it.(because she got trapped in devans room)
I decided I am going on a diet. I'll do what I can until I go back to the grocery store. I have to use up the food i've got.
I just got back from doing laundry. I need to take a shower. I got some great pictures of Devan and some crappy horrrrrible ones of myself. I am supposed to be making a turkey dinner on Christmas Eve, but I don't know if A&P is doing free turkeys for Christmas like they did for Thanksgiving. I absolutely loved the mashed potatoes I made. They were delicious. As soon as this Turkey soup is gone, I can think about making dinner again.
This must be the most BORING diary in the world. All I talk about is my baby and what I am making for dinner. Well that's pretty much all I think about all day. Oh my life is so hard! I applied at the A&P as a cashier part time. They probably won't hire me because I won't work weekends or days. Or Holidays. Oh well. I've been playing a lot of sims. I finally got my characters to fall in love and get married and move in together. That's hard to do.
I'm still here. I'm not mad about that thread on thevidablue website anymore. I am looking at houses on the internet. There's one I am interested in in Montague. We probably can't get it but it's worth trying, right!?!
I better get in the shower and get to bed. I'm supposed to be going to the mall tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to be so tired.
Today was all about the sims. I can't stand it when I play this game because I get addicted and play all day long and nothing gets done. I am playing Hot Date, that's the one that just came out. I got some funny stuff from this website the 8th deadly sim. Funny stuff. Adult themed stuff translated on to sims is just too funny.
My turkey soup turned out awesome.
Jon is not going to pass his network exam if he doesn't start studying. I hate how "studying" is his excuse for everything but he has postponed the test 3 times now. What the heck.
I am getting so annoyed. My weekends keep passing me by. It doesn't seem like I get anything done.
I am making turkey soup still. I started it at around 11 am. It smells great but I haven' t tasted it yet so who knows
how good it is.
Jon's driving me crazy today. I'll spare you the details. Devan's in her bed taking a nap. We're going over to Jon's mom's house for dinner and laundry shortly. I wish I had the energy and the motivation to get dressed. I feel like crawling into bed and sleeping the rest of the day away.
I just tasted the soup and added some more vegetables. It tastes good. and it's nice and thick. I'm boiling some bowtie noodles to throw in it too. MMmmm.
Today was weird. I got up at noon in a terrible mood. Devan woke up at the same time. Poor kid. I got dressed and moved the cars to our parking spots in the rear of our building and then decided to go to the mall to return a sweater and a bra. For some reason that really tired me out. I walked around the mall for a little while by myself and wandered into the pet store. There's been the same Maine Coon kitten in the window display for months now. the poor thing is NEVER going to sell because cats are so expensive from pet shops. There's the cutest little yorkshire terrier that actually looks more like a silky because it seems way too big to be a yorkie. (no one cares, i know)
When I got home I sat on the couch for a long time and then Jon and I went to the grocery store w/ Dev. I bought lots of good things. Tomorrow morning i am making turkey soup with my left over turkey. I am making it in the morning because we are probably not eating it for dinner, plus i just want to get it out of the way.
I got ingredients to make Wendy's Chili. I am excited about that. I made fettucini alfredo with crab for dinner and now i feel sick. I burned my tongue tasting a mushroom while it was cooking and it's totally annoying me. Ok.. this was way more boring than I wanted it to be. Sorry.
It's half past noon. I lied about not going anywhere last night. I ended up going to Jon's mom's and playing Risk with her, Iris, and Chris, while devan slept in her carrier on the floor. No one won. The game stretched into the wee hours of the morning, and then Jon popped his head in the door shortly after 2am.
The moon was certainly bright last night. It felt like daybreak when I was driving home.
(Nov 19)
I've been asked to make a Christmas wish list, so here it is. Click on

(Dec 11)
I am unable to sleep, so I took time to make the blog archives work. of course, images that were on old yahoo server do not work anymore (read: anything before April 2005) so you'll have to use your imagination. Check the sidebar for a link if you're interested.

(Nov 22)
There. I finally did it. Now go buy me stuff:)
.......................
(Nov 7)Take note of the changes along the right sidebar. I've been reading blogs, and that, of course, means joining knitalongs!
However my next task (which will be my next announcement)
is to create a holiday wishlist, as there have been several people asking for one.

(May
14) Going through a wave of depression. Don't feel like
doing anything except artwork. Here are a couple
pictures I made. You may have seen them, since they're
meant for my websites. If you've seen them as background
images, excuse the tiling, I'm fixing it when I feel
like it.
if you like them, let me know. if you don't, keep it to
yourself.

(April 28) Ok... I've been on hiatus. Bear with me and
my broken links and pictures while I move all my junk
around.
Life is good and I'm glad my site is working again.

(Jan 11) Due to real life
pals/family complaining about how little real life
content there is in this journal, I'm going to make a
real effort to include that stuff, and not just knitting
stuff. I hope this pleases you guys.

(Jan 10) Today is the
anniversary of my Grampa's death. We still miss you so
much.

(Dec 30) Just two quick
notes today:
1. We've got another
completed Casey's Coat.
2. I'll be out of town
for about 3 weeks. My brother, Mike, is getting married!
After that I'm going to be house sitting for my mom
while she is out of town. This will not have an affect
on you or my blogging, I just felt like sharing.

(Dec 2) My brother has
been making me some pretty cool knitting charts. I think
they're mighty awesome and I'm trying to figure out a
project I can use them for. They're pdf files, except
the first one (which is actually not his design, it's
the work of someone on myspace.com) so go ahead and have
at them. If he makes many more charts, I'll disable the
links and offer the chart patterns for a small fee via
paypal, because, after all, it is his art work and he
deserves compensation!

(Nov 28)My little sister is a knittin' fool. We shopped
all over for some good needles for her. She's been using
these kids plastic-y needles that I find to be really
uncomfortable and annoying. We tried some aluminum
needles but they were too slick and long. We finally
settled on some Clover Bamboo needles and from what I
have heard, she likes them the best. She's working on a
lavender scarf. I'll have my mom take a pic so I can
post it here.

(Nov 28) I'm back! Christmas Knitting and yarn stash
enhancement is in full effect in this house. There's a
new(?) Knitting/Fabric store in the town my mom lives
in. It's called Sew Krazy. image is property of sew-krazy.com
They are currently squeezed in a tiny location just
chock full of amazing stuff! They have a whole shelf of
Kaffe Fasset fabrics, which you know I loved. They
had lots of yarn by Rowan and Brown Sheep. They didn't
have any Debbie Bliss. The shop is working on expanding
in a new location, equipped with a beautiful fireplace
(My mom and I peeked through a hole in the door) and
it's HUGE. This place was great and there's a cafe
called Muddy Waters next door. So this place will be
perfect to sit down, relax, drink coffee, and knit by
the fireplace when I go out to visit for 3 weeks in
January. The building is also really beautiful and
contains many other interesting shops. Check it out if
you're ever nearby.

(Nov 18)Last year for Christmas, Mr. Handsome gave me an
EZ Stir. If you haven't got a clue what an easy-stir
is, (consider yourself lucky) it's a device that
attaches to your pots and pans and stirs your sauces for
you! Ingenious! I have still not taken the EZ Stir out
of its package. This year, I thought I'd make it easy on
my husband and anyone else who wishes to shower me with
gifts.
